Each week a psychologist analyses a different Facebook profile picture. This week the ‘couple’ shot

‘I’ve got you, and I’m not letting you go’ seems to be what this picture is saying. The pinstriped groom is hold holding fast and tight and firmly gazing towards what looks like his lovely new bride.  Although it does not look like she is too sure or actually as comfortable with either the pose or the hold as he is, pulling back ever so slightly with her right hand clenched on his chest. This is ever so slightly reminiscent of the hold that Barack and Michelle Obama had during the dancing at their inaugural balls, Mr President was holding and leading, Mrs President was resisting being lead just that tinsy tiny bit, Mrs P’s a very independent lady after all.

It was the bride who posted the picture so maybe she is sending the message that yes indeed she has happily been ‘got’ by her man, but perhaps not quite completely 100%. It looks like she’s maintaining a bit of room in their relationship for herself, which after all is no bad thing really.
